History

The GMS Group was founded in 1981 by Mr G M Singh. Under his leadership, the Group pioneered the technology of one-hour photo film development and prospered in the photo-finishing industry. Since then, the group has been a pioneer and market leader in a number of businesses it has undertaken in Photofinishing (Lazor QSS), Digital Imaging and Printing (GMS Technologies), Automobile Retailing and Dealerships (General Motor Cars-Opel, Ichibaan Automobiles-Honda Cars, Presidential Cars-Volkswagen Cars, Volvo Trucks), Master Franchise Nissan Cars, Power Generation (GAPS Power) and Construction (GMS Constructions) and most recently in Food Manufacturing (Cogent Foods).

1981

The GMS Group was founded
1982

Pioneered Photo Finishing in India.
1994

Pioneered Digital Printing (Large format) for hoardings, which eliminated the hand-painted ones.
1996

Started the retailing of General Motor Cars in Mumbai & Bangalore
1998

Introduced Ichibaan-retailing of Honda Cars in Mumbai, which became the second largest retailer of Honda Cars in India.
1998

First Commercial construction project
2005

Introduced the servicing of Volvo Trucks in Maharashtra region (to recheck the date)
2005

Gaps Power. First Biomass Power Plant in Aurangabad
2007

Introduced Presidential Cars-retailing of Volkswagen Cars in Mumbai (to recheck the date)
2008

Introduced Nissan Cars as a master franchisee (Exclusive distributor) of Nissan Japan for sales, marketing, dealer development & supply of parts across India
2010

Created an iconic commercial building which won an Asia Pacific Award for the Design & Aesthetic
2017

Founded Cogent Foods , a B2B manufacturer & supplier of Fresh & Frozen Foods

Sumeet Nindrajog

Sumeet has over 20 years’ experience in advising, investing and operating in companies in North America and India.
Co Founder of Paragon Partners, a leading Private Equity firm headquartered in Mumbai.
Prior to co-founding Paragon Partners, Sumeet was the co-founder and executive director at Hover Automotive India – HAI (a leading global automobile manufacturer’s exclusive distributor in India) based out of Mumbai.
Prior to joining HAI’s operations, Sumeet successfully managed automobile retail outlets which were part of his family business.
He has also successfully started and sold two independent ventures in India in the Real Estate and Power sectors.
Sumeet previously worked at Ares Management in their Private Equity Group in Los Angeles and with UBS in the Investment Banking Group.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Management from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Nindrajog graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School with a concentration in Finance and Management

Rosenyn Kapur

Rosenyn has over 22 years of experience in several service oriented businesses
She joined the group in 2000 as director of the Digital Imaging business
In 2017, she co-founded Cogent Foods and handles strategy & business development for the company
Mrs. Kapur graduated with Honors from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Finance
He has also successfully started and sold two independent ventures in India in the Real Estate and Power sectors.
